Hi Phil: I can testify to what you are saying. When I was 29 I set a “definiteness of purpose” for my life using the vehicle of Real Estate. Three years into my goal, which by the way was well on track, tragedy hit and took me in another direction for 20 years. Those were dark years but two things happened during that time that has brought me here today. First, I became a believer in Jesus Christ and his redemptive power 17 years ago and second I never lost my “definiteness of purpose.” I now know that if I had achieved my goals back then I would never fullfill God’s plan for my life and would have missed my “definiteness of purpose” altogether! My message is this: evidently what I needed, was time, and this does not mean that everyone needs 20 years on the potters wheel to be molded, but I learned that my purpose was right on and my dream was real or else I would have lost it long ago. Persist and you will know when you have your purpose because no one can dissuade you from it! Thank you, Phil, for being here and pointing the way as I begin to fullfill my purpose.
So cool to hear you play tennis Phil. I also play tennis in Central and Northern California in several USTA leagues. You should get back into playing! It is a sport for life you know and it is a lot of fun. Maybe someday we could hit.
I hope to be a big part of your program soon. I just need a little help getting out of the starting gate.
